Somerley Group Limited is the holding company for Somerley Limited (a specialist financial services company based in Hong Kong with a Beijing Representative Office upon approval obtained from China Securities Regulatory Commission in November 2003), Somerley China Associates Ltd, Somerley Asset Management Ltd, Somerley Singapore Pte Limited and a Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WFOE) under the name of Somerley Investment Consulting (Shanghai) Limited. Establishments of these companies facilitate business operations of Somerley Group Limited in the Greater China Region.

Somerley Group Limited is also proud to announce the expansion of its business operations in Australia. It has joined Inteq Limited (licensed corporate advisory house based in Sydney) as a strategic partner and shareholder. It has further set up a directly owned subsidiary under the name of Somerley Australia Limited in Perth, Australia for development of business and synergy effect within the Somerley Group.




Martin Sabine
 

Mr. Sabine was the founder of Somerley Limited in 1984. Before setting up Somerley Limited he was head of the corporate finance division at a leading Hong Kong merchant bank, handling transactions throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Previously, he had seven years' experience in the European and North American financial markets working in the corporate finance department of a London merchant bank and in the treasury department of a major international oil company. He has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Oxford and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is the author of "CORPORATE FINANCE - Flotations, Equity Issues and Acquisitions", a well-known book on corporate finance.

Mr. Sabine is the Chairman of the Somerley Group.


John Fletcher
 

Mr. Fletcher was an Executive Director of Trafalgar House Plc for more than 20 years. During that time he was initially the Main Board Director responsible for the Group’s construction and engineering activities. Trafalgar House was the largest E&C company in Europe with more than 30,000 employees. Later he had responsibility for the implementation of the Group’s acquisition and development strategies which included not only engineering and construction but also oil and gas exploration and production, cargo shipping, hotels & cruise shipping, property development and house building as well as newspaper and publishing. The Group operated in over 60 countries world wide and employed over 130,000 people towards the end of his career with Trafalgar House. He participated in the demerger of several of Trafalgar House interests including oil and gas, newspaper and publishing into separate London listed companies.

In 1996 Trafalgar House merged with Kvaerner, a large Scandinavian engineering and ship building group, where he served as President and Chief Executive of their Engineering and Construction business world wide. In 1999, he left Kvaerner and with Macquarie Bank through an Australia listed company Pacific Energy Limited, acquired what had been Trafalgar House infrastructure and industrial investments world wide.

He was an adviser to the British Government in 1980s. In 1996, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II awarded the title of CBE (Commander of British Empire) to him for his contribution to British industry. He was a member of the international advisory team to the Beijing Mayor in 1999 and in 2004 was appointed the Executive Vice Chairman Construction Supervision Committee for the National Stadium for 2008 Beijing Olympics. His experience in overseeing major projects has given him extensive high level international business and financial connections, enabling him to provide key assistance to foreign and domestic corporations in their China transactions. He is the non executive Chairman of Leyshon Resources Limited with Gold operations in China listed in ASX & AIM.

Mr. Fletcher is the Director of Somerley Limited.


Jamie Cheung
 

Mr. Cheung has 10 years’ experience in corporate finance. Prior to joining Somerley Limited in 1996, he worked in the audit department of an international accounting firm. He has also worked in Cazenove Asia Limited in the corporate finance department, responsible for its merger and acquisitions advisory services. He graduated from the University of New South Wales and obtained his MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Mr. Cheung is the Chief Investment Officer of the CorporActive Fund.


Cecilia Fong
 

Ms. Fong has 13 years’ investment banking experience. Prior to joining Somerley Limited in 2006, she previously worked for Macquarie and the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. At Macquarie, she was part of the corporate finance team providing advisory services to clients in the infrastructure sector. At HSBC, she worked for the project finance advisory team and advised clients in the infrastructure and utilities sectors in Asia.

She holds CPA and CFA professional qualifications. She graduated with a BA from the Sheffield University and obtained her MSc in Finance (with Distinction) from the Lancaster University of the U.K.

Ms. Fong is the Managing Director, Mergers & Acquisitions, of Somerley Limited.
